Brethren,

As the holiday season has passed, the busy time of year for all masons is now upon us. With most lodges gearing up for what is always a busy spring with elections, installations, and degree work, it is difficult to find the time.

This month we are welcoming our DDGM, Kosta Hatzis, to Acacia on his official visit, along with conferring the second degree on a worthy brother, an in memoriam for a brother that passed to the grand lodge above earlier this week, and a special presentation to another member in the district.

Just a reminder that being our DD night, we tyle at 7pm and the festive board will precede it at 6pm in the basement of the lodge building. I look forward to seeing many visitors at this month’s meeting, but just ask for a simple reminder to notify myself at the email address on the summons of your intent to attend. The meal will be a cost of $20 per person except for the guest of honor and his secretary.

A reminder to the brethren of Acacia that Feb. 20 will be our evening to receive the travelling gavel and we will have the honor of delivering it to St. Andrews lodge on Mar. 7. A perfect number, or better, of brothers from Acacia would be great to show our support for this long-standing tradition.

S&F,

Derek Brook
