Brothers of Acacia,
Before I begin my message, I would like to pass along the Lodge’s condolences and prayers to Bro. Chris Zuger, whose father passed away just before our September meeting.
For those that missed our September meeting it was a shame. We held a Memorial Tribute for R.W. Bro. Michael Jenkyns, and Bro. Harold Morrison who recently Passed to the Grand Lodge Above. Our historian, W. Bro. Neil Lillico presented biographies of these two deceased Brothers which contained many interesting stories of their lives and contributions in life. We also invested V. W. Bro. Bill Gordon as the Tyler. In addition, we were pleased to welcome R.W. Bro. Charles Singh, Past DDGM, who attended Acacia specifically because of the Memorial Tributes that were part of the evening’s events.
This month, we are pleased to welcome the Shrine Degree Team who will be raising Brother David Perkins to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason. Bro. Perkins has been patiently waiting for this since Covid interrupted our normal schedule of events. Ottawa District One DDGM, R.W. Bro. Jim Bowman will be in attendance to see the Degree Team. We will also be investing Bro. Chris Zuger as our Inner Guard.
As some of you may have heard, W. Bro. Sam Roberts would like to proffer his name as a candidate for DDGM in 2025. If anyone has any feedback they would like to share, in confidence, please let me know.
October is Thanksgiving month and I hope everyone is able to spend time with family and friends so as to fully appreciate our good fortune as Masons and Canadians.
Hope to see you all at next month’s CGP and at our Regular Meeting on October 18th, 2022 at 7:30 p.m.
Sincerely and Fraternally,
Frank Sigouin
Worshipful Master
