Brethren,

October is the season of the harvest, and thus of Thanksgiving for the many gifts we have received from the Creator. This year our gratitude is tinged with some amount of sadness as we must first express our gratitude for the life of our brother Donald Learning. Don saw our lodge through some difficult events, and we are blessed to have shared time with him.

As for our plan to host a social event; we will save that for the new year. The extra time will allow us to better advertise and coordinate it to start even stronger!

Having honed, tried, and proven our working tools last month we will now put them to work as we Pass a brother to the degree of Fellowcraft.

Contribution to the progress of a brother in the craft is at once a privilege, and a reminder of our own progress, as we each have memories of when we were that candidate.

Additionally, we will, finally, be able to ballot on the application of a brother for affiliation with our lodge; with luck this will not be our only opportunity to exercise the balloting process this masonic year!

S&F,
